About Acting Indie: A new cross-platform concept aimed at the fans of the
film industry that are specifically interested in the goings-on both on and
around the set of both Indie films and movies with drive, heart and soul. Our
goal is to turn away from the gossip magazines that focus on the – often
non-existing – drama on set and ask the questions to the people who were
actually there: the people on set, in front or behind the camera. Acting Indie
is different from websites like “Indiewire” because they tend to focus more on
the high-earning or high budget Indies with little focus to the smaller
projects. We want to shed light on those projects and help promote them. We
want to put the passion back into film making and when watching a movie, we
want to feel that the movie we’re seeing on-screen is the movie that was shot,
not the movie that was 99% recreated in post-production. If that’s your
project, then that’s what we want to talk about with you.
Acting Indie
launched January 3, 2015 and is currently on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr,
Blogspot and Google+ and will – hopefully – grow out to be a collaboration or a
bridge between fans of the films we’re covering and the industry.
